Dear God, the task of being compassionate to those in need is pretty easy for most of us. The world is filled with need, and we respond.

Where we really need Your strength, O God, is in finding bravery to resist the evil that pervades our world. We can be hurt in so many ways if we
. . . work to overthrow oppression,
. . . speak out against evil persons, or
. . . fight injustice.

Teach us to be fools for Your sake. Being Yours is the only thing that matters.
