We so often cheat on You O God.

The things of the world beckon to us---that we might dress well, have a beautiful house, live the good life.

The here and now lures us away from our commitment to You.
The sacred promises of faithfulness that we have made get forgotten in the stir of the holiday season.

You call these thoughts and actions of ours a spiritual adultery. We are ashamed and ask that You welcome us back into our true family.
