Help us, O God, to grow up into an adult faith.
When we were kids, we hunted for Easter eggs on pleasant, sunny lawns.
Now we know that the great, good things of life You often hide amidst
the thorns.
Teach us to imitate the life You lived among us two thousand years ago.
There was a crown of thorns for You, and there will be thorns for us---and
great, good things.
