O Christ, who walked the earth a hundred generations ago healing the blind and
the deaf, we ask that You today make us blind and deaf to the enticing
blandishments of Satan that call us to only see the faults of others.
Make us mute when we are tempted to speak evil.
Give us skin a foot thick when others would seek to prick us with their
nasty comments.
Then open our eyes to see You, O Christ, within each man or woman in need
that we meet.
