Dearest Jesus, You have given each of us so much, and have asked so little
of us.
When You walked the earth, You said that we should not expect to be
treated better than You were treated: The servant is not greater than
the master.
Yet, most of us tonight will sleep in softer beds than You slept in. Few
of us have been spit upon or beaten for Your sake. None of us have died to
follow You.
Are we just lucky or are we missing the boat?
