In the years You walked among us, You taught us, O Lord, what prayer is all
about. You retreated into the desert for 40 days for fasting and prayer,
and then You began Your ministry.
You retreated to Gethsemane to pray, and then You faced the angry mob.
When we pray, may we follow your example. We retreat to pray that we may
have the courage to go forward, in action, according to Your will.
